Ingredients
- Meat mixture: Substitute with all ground beef, or even all ground turkey, for variation. Ground sausage is also a savory addition.
- Bread: Any type of bread can be used, such as white, wheat or even gluten-free bread.
- Heavy whipping cream: Substitute with whole milk, half-and-half or a non-dairy whipping cream.
- Seasonings: Feel free to adjust to your liking. Fresh garlic can be used instead of garlic powder.
- White onion: Substitute with yellow onion, red onion or shallots.
- Carrot: You can omit or substitute with other vegetables such as bell peppers, celery, and/or zucchini.
- Ketchup: Substitute with tomato sauce, tomato paste or your favorite barbecue sauce.
- Yellow mustard: Dijon mustard, spicy brown mustard or honey mustard can be used.
- Worcestershire sauce: Soy sauce or steak sauce can be used as substitutes, for a similar umami flavor.
- Fresh chopped parsley: Easily substitute with dried parsley flakes.

How to Prepare Tender and Juicy Homemade Meatloaf
- Prepare the Bread Mixture:
- Tear the bread into small pieces.
- Place the bread in a bowl and pour the heavy whipping cream over it.
- Allow the bread to soak up the cream for a few minutes.
- Mix the Meatloaf Ingredients:
- Add the ground beef and meatloaf mixture to the bowl with the bread mixture.
- Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder and onion powder.
- Add the minced white onion, minced carrot, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and chopped parsley.
- Mix the ingredients together until well combined, but do NOT over mix.
- Form the Meatloaf:
- Shape the meat mixture into two small loaves or one large loaf.
- Bake the Meatloaf:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly grease a cast iron pan or baking dish.
- Place the meatloaf and bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle the top with ketchup. Bake for another 5 minutes.
- Finish and Serve:
- Remove the meatloaf from the oven.
- Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

- After combining the meatloaf ingredients, grab a large muffin tin.
- Form the meat inside the deep wells. This recipe should make 6-8 large meatloaf muffins.
- Cover and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes (depending on the fat content of the meat, you may have to drain excess fat a few times from the tins while baking).
- Remove from the oven, spoon ketchup on top, and place back in the oven for 5 minutes.
- Place mashed potatoes in a decorating bag or freezer bag and swirl them on top of each meatloaf muffin.
- Garnish with fresh parsley.

- 1 package ground meatloaf meat mix (beef, pork, and veal combination)
- 3 slices bread without the crusts
- 2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 white onion, minced
- 1 carrot, minced
- 1/2 cup ketchup, plus
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- Few dashes of Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line the bottom of a cast iron pan or baking dish with olive oil.
- Tear the bread into small pieces and add them to a bowl with the heavy cream. Allow the bread to soak up the cream for a few minutes.
- Add all of the ground meat to the bowl with the bread.
- Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder.
- Add in the minced carrot and onions, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and fresh parsley.
- Mix gently to combine, being careful not to overmix.
- Form the meat mixture into two small loaves or one large loaf.
- Place the meatloaves in the pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and drain any excess grease.
- Drizzle the top with ketchup, and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes.
- Allow to rest a few minutes before slicing.

- Easily use all ground beef, instead of the addition of the meatloaf meat mixture.
- For a leaner meatloaf, use ground turkey (may not be as tender and juicy).
- If you want to replace the bread with breadcrumbs, do NOT mix the breadcrumbs with the heavy cream. Add the breadcrumbs with the other ingredients and incorporate an egg.
- Try not to over mix the meat as this can cause the loaves to become too dense and you may lose the tender and fluffy texture while baking.
