Why You Should Make This Bang Bang Salmon Bites Recipe
- Quick & Easy: This recipe comes together in less than 20 minutes, with minimal prep work. Whether you use an air fryer or your oven, you can enjoy a delicious, healthy meal or meal prep idea without the hassle.
- Perfectly Crispy Salmon: Air frying the salmon creates a crispy, golden exterior, while keeping the inside moist and tender. It’s the perfect method for bite-sized pieces.
- Balanced Flavor: The combination of paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder creates a savory seasoning that compliments the creamy, spicy Bang Bang Sauce made with mayo, Sriracha, sweet chili sauce and soy sauce. It’s a flavor explosion!
- Versatile Meal: You can serve these Bang Bang Salmon Bites in many ways—on a salad, with rice, or as an appetizer at your next gathering. They’re incredibly versatile and crowd-pleasing.
Ingredients
- Salmon: This recipe uses skin-off salmon for a clean, tender bite. You can substitute with other fish like trout, cod, shrimp, or even chicken breast, if desired. Just ensure that the cooking time is adjusted for the protein used.
- Paprika: A mild spice that gives a subtle smokiness. If you don’t have paprika, you can substitute with chili powder or smoked paprika for a deeper flavor.
- Sriracha: The key ingredient for heat in the Bang Bang sauce. If you prefer a milder sauce, reduce the amount of Sriracha or swap it for another hot sauce like Tabasco.
- Sweet Chili Sauce: Adds a sweet and tangy kick. If you can’t find it, honey or agave syrup with a little vinegar can be used as a substitute, though the flavor will change slightly.
- Soy Sauce: This adds a savory, umami-rich flavor. You can use tamari or coconut aminos as a gluten-free alternative.
