- 1 1/2 cups warm water
Instructions
- Combine the flour and yeast in a large bowl and whisk to evenly distribute.
- Whisk in the salt.
- Add the warm water and mix until a rough, sticky dough forms.
- Cover the bowl and let the dough rise at room temperature for about 3 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C) with a Dutch oven placed inside to heat.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently shape into a smooth ball.
- Place the dough onto a lightly oiled piece of parchment paper.
- Carefully transfer the parchment and dough into the hot Dutch oven.
- Score the top of the dough using a bread lame or sharp knife, then lightly flour the surface.
- Cover and bake for 30 minutes.
- Uncover and bake for an additional 12–15 minutes, until the bread is deeply golden brown.
- Remove from the Dutch oven and allow the bread to cool completely before slicing for the best texture.
- ENJOY!
Notes
- Dough will be sticky. This is normal for no knead bread.
- To be honest, I do knead for just a minute after the sticky dough forms.
- Let rise at room temperature for at least 3 hours.
- Use parchment paper for easy and safe transfer into the hot Dutch oven.
- A deep golden crust equals better flavor and texture.
