Get ready to elevate your pasta game with a celebrity twist on a classic pasta dish! GiGi Hadid’s Quick Pasta alla Vodka is a delightful blend of sophistication and flavor that will leave you craving more.


Ingredients

  • 1012 ounces of your preferred pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small shallot, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 4-ounces tomato paste
  • 3 tablespoons vodka
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 ladle pasta water
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, finely chopped, plus more for garnish

Instructions

  1. Start the pasta cooking in salted, boiling water. 
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced shallot and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. Add crushed red pepper flakes, if desired.
  4. Sauté for a minute or two, until softened.
  5. Stir in the tomato paste, allowing it to cook for 2-3 minutes to enhance flavors.
  6. Pour in the vodka, letting it simmer for another 2-3 minutes to cook off the alcohol.
  7. Pour in a ladle of the pasta water.
  8. Lower the heat and incorporate the heavy cream.
  9. Stir in the Parmesan cheese and fresh basil.
  10. Transfer the pasta directly from the pot to the sauce. Toss to coat. 
  11. Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan and basil.

  • Use your favorite pasta shape.
  • Don’t forget to salt the water for the pasta.
  • Depending on the size of the pasta, start boiling at any point to ensure the pasta is al dente when transferring to the sauce. Try not to overcook the pasta.
  • Allow the tomato paste to cook for a few minutes.
  • Be sure to cook off the the alcohol.
  • Add a ladle or more of the pasta water to enhance the flavor and texture of the sauce.
  • Turn down the heat prior to adding the heavy cream.
  • Transfer the pasta directly from the pot into the sauce. 
  • Serve immediately.
