Description
This Easy Naan Flatbread Pizza recipe is prepared using store-bought naan bread as the base and your favorite jarred marinara sauce, which cuts down on prep time, without compromising on taste.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 pieces of store-bought mini naan
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 10-ounces jarred or homemade marinara sauce
- 5-ounces shredded mozzarella
- 2-ounces mini pepperoni
- 1 jar sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1/8 cup sliced banana peppers
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Place the naan bread pieces on a non-stick, or parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Brush each piece of naan with olive oil.
- Spoon marinara sauce onto each naan, spreading it evenly to cover the surface.
- Sprinkle on the shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Scatter the mini pepperoni on top of the cheese.
- Evenly distribute the drained sliced mushrooms and sliced banana peppers over the cheese.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges of the naan are golden brown.
- Remove the pizzas from the oven.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
- Slice and serve immediately.
- ENJOY!
Notes
- If using larger naan, consider one piece per person (I used Stonefire Mini Naan for this recipe).
- Brushing the top of the naan with olive oil before adding the sauce helps create a barrier that prevents the sauce from soaking into the bread too quickly.
- Although the base of the naan is fairly sturdy, avoid weighing the naan down with too much sauce and/or toppings.
- Easily replace the mini pepperoni with regular-sized pepperoni.
- Use jarred or homemade marinara sauce.
- Adjust the toppings to suit your preference.
- Bake on a pizza stone instead of a baking sheet.
