Description

This quick and easy Air Fryer Chicken and Brussels Sprouts recipe is a go-to for busy weeknights. With perfectly seasoned chicken breast and caramelized Brussels sprouts cooked together in under 15 minutes, it’s a healthy, flavorful option that pairs great with steamed rice.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, diced
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and cut lengthwise into thirds
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon lemon pepper seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. If your air fryer has a preheat function, preheat it to 380°F (193°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, lemon pepper, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
  3. Dice the chicken into bite-sized chunks and place in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Trim the ends off each Brussels sprout and slice them lengthwise into thirds. Add them to the bowl with the chicken.
  5. Drizzle on 2 tablespoons of olive oil and sprinkle about half of the spice blend over the top. Toss to coat everything evenly.
  6. Add more oil or seasoning if needed, making sure everything is well-coated.
  7. Pour the chicken and Brussels sprout mixture into the air fryer basket in an even layer.
  8. Air fry at 380°F (193°C) for 12 to 14 minutes, shaking the basket a few times during cooking to ensure even browning.
  9. Serve hot with steamed rice or your favorite grain.
  10. ENJOY!

Notes

  • Be sure to trim the ends off the Brussels sprouts and slice them lengthwise into thirds for even cooking and crisp edges.
  • Dice the chicken evenly so it cooks through at the same rate as the sprouts.
  • If your air fryer doesn’t have a preheat function, let it run empty for 2-3 minutes at 380°F (193°C) before adding the food.
  • If you own a smaller air fryer, you may want to air fry in batches.
  • Toss with oil and seasoning in a large bowl to ensure everything is well-coated.
  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket—spread everything in an even layer for the best browning.
  • Shake the basket a couple of times during cooking to help the sprouts crisp and the chicken brown evenly.
  • You can use chicken thighs for a juicier option.
  • Swap Brussels sprouts for cabbage or broccoli if preferred.
  • Serve with a side of steamed rice, or skip for a low-carb/keto-friendly meal.
  • Great with sauces like yum yum sauce, spicy mayo, or sweet chili sauce.
