Description

A classic homemade Buttermilk Blue Cheese Dressing that’s creamy, tangy, and perfect for salads, wings, and dipping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ⅓ cup mayonnaise
  • 4 ounces Roquefort blue cheese, crumbled or chunked
  • 4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of cracked black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine the buttermilk, sour cream, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and cracked black pepper in a bowl or jar.
  2. Mix until smooth and fully combined.
  3. Chunk the Roquefort blue cheese into the dressing, breaking it apart as much, or as little as you like.
  4. Stir gently to distribute the cheese.
  5. Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to develop.
  6. ENJOY!

Notes

  • This dressing thickens slightly as it chills.
  • For a thinner dressing, add an extra splash of buttermilk.
  • For chunkier dressing, fold in larger pieces of blue cheese at the end.
  • Always taste and adjust seasoning after chilling, as blue cheese salt levels can vary.
