Units
Scale
- 1–1 1/2 pounds ground beef (80/20)
- 12 ounces fresh green beans, finely diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated or ginger paste
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 3/4 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes,optional
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground beef and cook until well browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat, if needed.
- As the ground beef is cooking, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, beef broth, sesame oil, cornstarch, and crushed red pepper flakes in a bowl.
- Add the garlic and ginger to the beef. Cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Stir in the finely diced green beans and cook for 3–5 minutes until tender.
- Give the sauce a final whisk then add to the skillet. Stir to combine.
- Simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens and evenly coats the beef and green beans.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately.
- ENJOY!
Notes
- Prep all of the ingredients first, as the cooking time is very quick.
- Finely diced green beans help the sauce cling evenly.
- Double the sauce to make this stir fry even saucier. Don’t double the soy sauce (one extra tablespoon will do).
- Chili crisp can be used instead of crushed red pepper flakes for added texture and heat.
