Take your next weeknight salmon dinner for a spin with this recipe for Lime Honey Butter Salmon. Seared in a cast iron pan or roasted. It’s totally up to you. It’s a super easy and quick preparation. One healthy and amazing dinner done in about 20 minutes!
Ingredients

- 1 to 1 1/2 lb salmon filet, preferably skin-on
- 1 TBLS olive oil
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- non-stick spray
- lime wedges and lime zest, for garnish
FOR THE LIME HONEY BUTTER:
- 3/4 stick butter, room temperature
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper, optional
- 2 TBLS orange blossom honey
- zest of one lime
Instructions
- Line a cast iron pan with olive oil. Spray with non-stick spray.
- Heat to almost smoking.
- Rub the salmon filet with olive oil. Season with kosher salt and black pepper.
- Once the pan is hot, place the salmon filet (flesh side down)
- Allow the salmon to form a crust (hands off)
- While the salmon is searing, combine all of the ingredients for the lime honey butter.
- Turn down the heat just a touch
- Flip. Allow the skin to crisp up.
- Reduce heat to medium-low.
- Place a generous layer of the lime honey butter on top of the salmon.
- Allow to cook for just a few more minutes to allow the honey to drip down and caramelize just a touch.
- Continue layering on the butter. Use it all up.
- Plate and serve with your favorite sides.
