Description

Jarlsberg Cheese Dip is creamy, tangy, and loaded with nutty cheese. It’s one of those party appetizers that will disappear in seconds.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 1/4 cups Jarlsberg cheese, shredded
  • 2 teaspoons red onion, minced
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 heavy cream, or milk
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • cracked black pepper, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the mayonnaise, heavy cream or milk, red onion, and lemon juice. Mix well until smooth.
  2. Fold in the shredded Jarlsberg cheese until fully coated in the sauce.
  3. Cover the bowl and place in the fridge for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. Serve chilled or at room temperature with your favorite crackers, pretzels, or bread. Optionally sprinkle with cracked black pepper.
  5. ENJOY!

Notes

  • Shred your own cheese for the best flavor and texture. Pre-shredded cheese often contains anti-caking agents that affect creaminess.
  • Allow the dip to rest in the fridge for at least 2 hours before serving for maximum flavor.
  • Double the recipe if serving a large crowd, because it goes fast!
