Description

Grilled Garlic Butter Mushrooms are the perfect side dish for cookouts and barbecues. Juicy cremini mushrooms are skewered, grilled, and brushed with rich garlic butter, then finished with flaky salt and parsley. Quick, easy, and full of flavor!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 16 ounces whole cremini mushrooms
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 45 garlic cloves, minced
  • Pinch of flaky salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Wipe the mushrooms with a damp paper towel to clean.
  2. Place mushrooms onto metal skewers, or use wooden skewers that have been soaked in water for 30 minutes.
  3. Heat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. In a small pot, add the butter and garlic. Place on the grill (or stovetop), until the butter melts. Do not brown the garlic.
  5. Place the mushroom skewers on the grill and cook for about 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally until tender and slightly charred.
  6. When the mushrooms are almost done, brush generously with the garlic butter on all sides.
  7. Remove from the grill, sprinkle with flaky salt and fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
  8. ENJOY!

Notes

  • Adding the mushrooms to skewers ensures even cooking.
  • Keep an eye on the garlic butter while melting; browned garlic can taste bitter.
  • For extra flavor, finish with a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
