- 1 pound Dungeness crabmeat
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 3–4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 tablespoon fresh chopped parsley, plus more for garnish
- Lemon wedges, for serving
For the Panko Topping:
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly butter a baking dish or individual ramekins.
- Gently pick through the crabmeat to remove any shells. Set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, beaten egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, salt, black pepper, melted butter, and chopped parsley. Mix until smooth.
- Carefully fold the crabmeat into the mixture, being gentle so you keep the lumps intact.
- Spoon the crab mixture into the buttered baking dish or ramekins, spreading evenly.
- In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, panko breadcrumbs, and freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
- Sprinkle the panko topping evenly over the crab mixture.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
- If needed, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end to deepen the golden crust. Watch carefully.
- Garnish with additional fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
