- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 tablespoons red onion, minced
- 1 plum tomato, minced
- 1 jalapeño, minced
- Juice of one lime
- 2 tablespoons fresh chopped cilantro
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 to 3 dashes hot sauce
- 2 dollops light sour cream
Instructions
- Begin by halving the ripe avocados, removing the seeds, and scooping out the flesh into a large bowl.
- Pour the lime juice over the avocado and sprinkle with salt.
- Using a fork or potato masher, mash the avocado to your desired consistency.
- Gently fold in the minced garlic, red onion, tomato, jalapeño, cilantro, black pepper, hot sauce, and sour cream until well combined.
- Taste the guacamole and adjust seasoning as needed, adding more salt or lime juice if desired.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap, ensuring it’s in direct contact with the guacamole to prevent browning.
