Description

This Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts recipe is exactly what you need for sprouts that are tender on the inside and crispy on the outside.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup water
  • pinch of flakey salt, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer.
  2. Remove the outer leaves of the Brussels sprouts. Trim the ends and cut each Brussels sprout in half, or quarters, if they are large.
  3. In a bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper to evenly coat.
  4. Pour the 1/2 cup of water into the bottom of your air fryer. This helps to steam the sprouts.
  5. Add the Brussels sprouts in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  6. Air fry at 380°F (193°C) for 13 minutes, shaking the basket at least once halfway through, for even cooking.
  7. Once done, transfer the Brussels sprouts to a bowl and sprinkle with flakey salt before serving.
  8. ENJOY!

Notes

  • Be sure to preheat the air fryer.
  • Cut the ends off of the Brussels sprouts and cut into halves or quarters.
  • Season with your favorite seasonings.
  • Avoid adding fresh garlic, as the garlic can easily burn in the air fryer at this temperature.
  • Don’t forget to add the water to the bottom of the air fryer. This will help to steam the inside of the Brussels sprouts and create tenderness.
  • Optionally, garnish with toasted sesame seeds.
