Description
This Air Fryer Brussels Sprouts recipe is exactly what you need for sprouts that are tender on the inside and crispy on the outside.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup water
- pinch of flakey salt, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer.
- Remove the outer leaves of the Brussels sprouts. Trim the ends and cut each Brussels sprout in half, or quarters, if they are large.
- In a bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper to evenly coat.
- Pour the 1/2 cup of water into the bottom of your air fryer. This helps to steam the sprouts.
- Add the Brussels sprouts in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry at 380°F (193°C) for 13 minutes, shaking the basket at least once halfway through, for even cooking.
- Once done, transfer the Brussels sprouts to a bowl and sprinkle with flakey salt before serving.
- ENJOY!
Notes
- Be sure to preheat the air fryer.
- Cut the ends off of the Brussels sprouts and cut into halves or quarters.
- Season with your favorite seasonings.
- Avoid adding fresh garlic, as the garlic can easily burn in the air fryer at this temperature.
- Don’t forget to add the water to the bottom of the air fryer. This will help to steam the inside of the Brussels sprouts and create tenderness.
- Optionally, garnish with toasted sesame seeds.
