Fried Brussels Sprouts

I love Brussels Sprouts…I have eaten them many different ways…Fried Brussels Sprouts has to be my new favorite! It is really important to follow the recipe in order to ensure the sprouts come out super crispy.

How To:

Begin by quartering a bag of Brussels Sprouts. Sprouts should be set out long enough to come to room temperature…this is important because cold sprouts will become soggy during the frying process. Heat coconut oil in a non-stick pan to medium-high. Place sprouts in hot oil in batches. Do not crowd the pan, as this too will cause them to become soggy. For about a one-pound bag, I fried them in three batches. When the sprouts start to brown, remove from pan and place on paper towels to drain. Salt the sprouts immediately out of the oil.

If you so desire, add a drizzle of Mike’s Hot Honey to the finished sprouts. If you are local to Charlotte, you can purchase the honey at The Carolina Meat & Fish Co. or Magnolia Emporium.
