Boardroom Advisory Group, LLC

I was so very honored and grateful to become a member of Boardroom Advisory Group, LLC this past week. As quoted on their website, "Boardroom Advisory Group, LLC is a global, independent advisor network of CXO's, business owners, and industry leaders specializing in a wide array of business disciplines who share a core focus; provide customers with innovative, comprehensive and high-quality solutions at a level of service exceeding expectations." Take a moment and visit their website to learn more about how you can become part of this amazing network.

I received my MBA from Waynesburg University in 1995 and had a lengthy 16-year career at Waynesburg University as an Accounting Professor.

I launched my own company, Charlotte Fashion Plate in September of 2015 to showcase my passion for both fashion and food.  I am very pleased by its success and strive on a daily basis to build my brand.  The work is very rewarding and fun.  I keep my focus positive and love the relationships I have built with my fellow entrepreneurs, local businesses, and social media followers.

Thanks to Steve Driben of Boardroom Advisory Group, LLC , for the fabulous profile highlighting my career and for believing in me and my company and the direction I am heading in the future.

Level 21 Magazine Feature

Imagine how excited I was when I was approached by the CEO of Level 21 Magazine, Tempest Harris about being featured in the OCT/NOV issue.  I was overwhelmed...my first print magazine. I thought I would share with you some of the photos and details from the shoot. You can access the online version now by visiting their website and also to subscribe to receive a copy of the print version out November 1st.

Thanks to my amazing photographer, Ben Clark, for his keen eye and wicked editing style for helping to make this shoot a success.  This is also Ben's first print magazine.  I have a feeling his future is bright and we will see more of his amazing shots in magazines around the country and around the world.  Ben was also instrumental in securing the perfect backdrop for the shoot at the gorgeous Westin Charlotte.

Let's talk about styling for the shoot.  I did it all by myself...hair, makeup, and wardrobe.  For my first look, I wore a black and white peplum gown with jeweled pockets from BCBGMaxAzria, a simple, yet elegant strand of pearls with a matching three-strand pearl and diamond bracelet from Mikimoto,  and a gorgeous pair of Christian Louboutin,  suede, camel peep-toe pumps.

I wanted my second look to be a bit more edgy, so I decided on Free People's, Swing Swing Mini dress in black.  I paired this dress with a silver metallic choker from Forever 21, and a perfect pair of black suede, thigh high boots from Stuart Weitzman.

I was so happy that my partner in Fashion and Food, Peter Carey from PAC Public Relations, was by my side the entire shoot fluffing my hair and making sure every shot was to perfection.  Peter and I work so well together.  We support each other's brands and have built a long-lasting partnership.  We will be bringing you the best of Fashion and Food in Charlotte, and beyond. We have a ton of exciting things planned in the coming year!

Lastly, I just want to extend my deepest gratitude to Level 21 Magazine, Tempest Harris and Desi Williams and all that made my feature amazing!  I feel so honored and blessed!

Finding Fashion in The Carolina Fish Market (Oh Yes We Did!)

Just because it's a tee doesn't mean you have to wear it like one. I'm always finding new ways to shake things up with casual style.

Charlotte Fashion Plate is always finding creative ways to bring food and fashion together while supporting local business. For two years, I have made The Carolina Fish Market my home for seafood, beef, fish, and local grown produce and eggs. This is my passion. ‪#‎supportlocal‬ ‪#‎buylocal‬ ‪#‎freshfood‬ ‪#‎wholefoods‬
